Riverfront Plaza celebrations start at 4PM, Fireworks launch at 9PM from multiple areas along the river. You can watch from anywhere along the NorthBank and SouthBank Riverwalks.

BREAKING: A jury has found Karmelo Anthony guilty of murder in the death of Austin Metcalf following the fatal stabbing at a Texas high school track meet.

Anthony now faces a potential sentence of up to life in prison.

After 40 years in Northern Jacksonville, Pecan Park Flea Market announced to vendors they are closing up shop. The market’s last day open to the public is September 27. The 20 acres has been sold for $8.55 million to a Butler family linked partnership, which has plans to redevelop the property as an automotive dealership.

An Arkansas judge last week dismissed a murder charge against a man who won the GOP nomination for sheriff while awaiting trial for the shooting death of his teenage daughter's alleged abuser.

The AP is reporting that a federal lawsuit is seeking to halt the upcoming UFC fight card on the White House South Lawn in a mixed martial arts show timed for President Trump's 80th birthday and part of the celebration of the nation's 250th anniversary.
