The state of Kentucky has sued the developer of Roblox, the online game, on Monday for allegedly choosing to not create safety measures for young players. The state accused Roblox Corporation of deciding against using safety controls to protect children from potential sex offenders. The developer also chooses to not warn parents of child users of possible dangers in the game, Kentucky claimed.

Police in Washington, D.C. arrested a man on Sunday who was found with hundreds of explosive devices outside the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, which was holding a Mass in honor of the Supreme Court. Police arrested 41-year-old Louis Geri, of Arizona and New Jersey, while the church held its annual “Red Mass,” an event where a cardinal prays for the Supreme Court as it begins its new term, The Daily Wire reported. Justices have historically attended the event, but none were in attendance on Oct. 5 because of security concerns.

A hospital patient in North Carolina allegedly removed an IV from his arm and used his "HIV positive blood" as a weapon by spraying it into the eyes of medical personnel. According to an arrest warrant obtained by Law&Crime, 25-year-old Kameron Gilchrist was being treated for diabetes at UNC Rex Hospital on March 21, 2025. Gilchrist began spraying "his HIV positive blood at the victims' eyes" by "removing his IV from his arm," per the warrant. It was not made clear if the victims, both hospital employees, contracted HIV. Gilchrist was not arrested until September because he was still receiving medical and psychiatric treatment at the time of the incident and could not immediately be arrested, per local outlet WRAL.

ABC7 out of LA says several alleged gang members with ties to the Mexican mafia were arrested following a multi-agency operation in San Pedro on Tuesday. The massive raid targeted the Rancho San Pedro (RSP) gang which "operates under the control of Mexican Mafia members who are incarcerated in California state prisons," according to the FBI. The gang is estimated to consist of 500 members.

Adrian Davis, the former lead pastor at the now-defunct Huntsville, Alabama, campus of All Nations Worship Assembly, pleaded guilty to spending over $400,000 of the church’s funds on personal expenses and filing a false tax return. He is facing up to 23 years in prison.

A wounded jaguar that was found swimming in the Rio Negro in Brazil was rescued by officials. The military police worked with the Animal Protection Secretariat and a feline specialist to rescue the jaguar. According to local reports, the jaguar had been shot multiple times and had more than 30 pieces of shrapnel in its face, head and neck. Despite its injuries, the jaguar was in stable condition and was treated at a clinic in Manaus before being transferred to a zoo, one report said.
