1010XL 92.5 FM, Jacksonville’s locally originated all sports radio station, has added a show to its daytime lineup and adjusted other dayparts as part of the recent announcement that it has become the flagship station of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The adjusted lineup begins Monday, April 28.
“Jaguars Today” is a brand new program that will air each weekday from 10 a.m. until Noon that will include exclusive Jaguars and NFL programming and originate live from the team studios at Everbank Field. The show will be hosted by Mike Dempsey, who has specialized in NFL coverage/talk throughout his 20-year broadcast career.
Dempsey will be joined on a day-by-day basis by various Jaguar and NFL insiders to include Pete Prisco from CBS Sports, Jeff Lageman from the Jaguars’ radio network, John Oehser from Jaguars.com, Ryan O’Halloran, the Jaguar beat reporter from the Florida Times-Union, “Fat” Tony Smith from 1010XL and others. The show will include Jaguars players, coaches and officials each day, plus other Jaguar and NFL-related programming.
The station’s afternoon show, “The Frank Frangie Show,” will expand to four hours, now airing from 3-7 p.m. weekdays and will welcome Brent Martineau as a show regular. Martineau, the sports director at Action News, will become the fourth member of the team that already includes Frank Frangie, Rick Ballou and Jessica Blaylock.
Finally, “1010XL Primetime”, hosted by Joe Cowart and Ryan “Hacker” Green, will add Tony Wiggins (T-Wigg) as a third regular and now will air each weekday from Noon – 3 p.m.
Each weekday will continue to begin with the station’s highly-regarded morning show, “The Drill” with Dan Hicken, Jeff Prosser and Spencer “Balls” Davis. That show will continue in its 6 – 10 a.m. time slot.
