A massive magnitude 8.0 earthquake has struck off Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula within the last hour. The tsunami threat is being evaluated for the West Coast, including for the Curry County coast. Tsunami Advisories are in place for parts of Alaska's Aleutian Islands and a Tsunami Watch has been issued for Hawaii. We'll keep you posted with updates when we learn more.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for abundant lightning on dry fuels for portions of Siskiyou, Klamath/Lake counties.
