So I got back from my trip to Honduras on Saturday. Somehow contracted COVID or something with the new COVID strain symptoms on my way home and have been out of commission for a few days. I feel much better now but am not out of the park yet. Gotta be symptom free for a full 24 hrs.

July 5th 2025

This day was the last day of the trip. We began at 7:30 with a devotional and breakfast. Once again, this was a special time. We ate breakfast and loaded up to head to the airport. We arrived and checked in to fly home to Alabama. We were made providence by the Almighty and barely made the flight home to the States. We arrived in Atlanta at the International Airport and hopped on our bus to go to our hometown. We stopped at Chick-fil-A then headed to Jacksonville. We arrived at around 8:15 p.m. My parents picked me up and took me home. I can't wait until Sunday School and Church tomorrow at FBC Eaglepoint. This adventure gifted to me by God and my Mom because she was sick has forever changed my life. All Praise Flow for the One True God Forevermore! Amen.

July 3rd 2025

This day we did not have to be up until 7:30 a.m. At 7:30 a.m. we had Bible Study and Breakfast. Afterwards we loaded up all of the gear and luggage and headed toward the Mayan Ruins. The tour of the Ancient Mayan Ruins was impeccable. Learning of their beliefs and practices was stupendous. I enjoyed gaining more knowledge of their history. After the tour we ate sack lunches and then began what would be our dog legged journey back to El Plan and the Baptist Dental Mission. We finally arrived at El Plan after being stuck in traffic because of a protest on the highway. We got back and ate dinner. Once again it was delicious. After this we had a foot washing ceremony in honor of Christ washing his disciples feet with a few exceptional workers from this week. It got emotional. To conclude the day the evening's sleep came quickly and without ceasing until the fiery morning. Those that delight in the Lord shall find rest and not be weary.

July 4th 2025 Independence Day

This day began with a great breakfast and Bible Study. After this we got ready to visit the marketplace. We drove there. Which took about a hour. After which we entered the marketplace. I bought a souvenir of a colorful cloak that had Honduras stitched in the left breast side. It is delightful. We ate out for lunch at a nice restaurant. Yummy! We rode back to El Plan to the compound and we had some down time so I rested in the air conditioning and watched a documentary by myself called the Ark in the Darkness. It was interesting. Around 6:00 p.m. we ate dinner. This was one of the best meals of the week. Homemade mini tortilla tacos with all of the fixings. It was wonderful! Afterwards we had an award ceremony and a share time. This was a time of sweet shares and laughable awards. It was wonderful. I caught myself tearing up and often smiling. It was special. Then came bedtime with an easy disposition of sleep after a week of devotion to the Lord of All while serving the people of Honduras. This adventure has been a tremendous honor and a significant privilege. Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty, Maker of my soul.

July 1st 2025

This day began with Bible Study at 6:30 a.m. After Bible Study we ate breakfast. It was delicious. We had banana pancakes and bacon with eggs, so scrumptious! When breakfast was over we had a group meeting and prayer. Then we went to do our assignments. My job for the day was Dentistry Crowd Control. It was fairly simple. We saw many patients this day, more than the previous day. There were many more conversions, with two of the chapel services having 100% professions of faith in Christ Jesus. On this day supper was amazing. We had bistek, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and a brownie. Before dinner it rained heavily, big ole fat rain, and even sideways rain. After dinner we had another group meeting and went over tomorrow's assignments. I received the job of veterinary assistant in the morning and medical crowd control in the afternoon. I cannot express the overwhelming joy I have gotten from serving. This mission trip has been so cool. May all of the earth rejoice in the Lord God Almighty.

July 2nd 2025

On this day we began with Bible Study at 6:30 a.m. followed by breakfast. I really enjoyed the Bible Study and the food has been phenomenal the entire time. La comida es muy buena. This day was the last day we served the people of Trinidad Copan. My job for the day was split between the morning and afternoon. In the morning I was Jack's Veterinary Assistant. We served local farmers and saw many animals. I was able to apply an antiparasitic topical to around 30 cows and I aided him with whatever he needed otherwise. A guy named Coy helped out too. He wants to be a Vet and he shadowed Jack and performed all of the same tasks Jack did while we were out. I also saw coffee farms in the rolling mountains of Copan. It was amazing. That afternoon I worked as Medical Crowd Control. It was wonderful helping the people to where they had to go. The evening concluded with dinner and a group meeting. The next day was our big trip back to El Plan and a visit to the Ancient Mayan Ruins. Blessed are those that walk the narrow path of Immanuel Lord of Hosts.

June 28th - 29th 2025

My journey began at 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning at FBC Eaglepoint in Jacksonville Alabama. We started the mission with group prayer. We made sure everyone was accounted for and then we departed for our International Mission Trip to Honduras. We drove to Atlanta Georgia to the International Airport. From there, we had a direct flight to Honduras. The trip in the air was relatively short, without any hiccups. We all made it through Customs without a hitch. We had been instructed to fill out the Declaration for Honduras before we left on the trip so it was easy peasy. The day we arrived it felt like the peak heat of Alabama in July. We made our way from the airport to El Plan. There we stayed overnight at a Honduras Baptist Dental Mission before embarking to the mission field on Sunday. The place that let us stay and do our mission work was an elementary school named Cruz Alberto Madrid in the city of Trinidad Copan. We finished the evening with dinner and a Bible Study along with introductions of ourselves. The first night was a little chilly so I had to put on a long sleeve shirt but all in all it was not bad. I've been colder. Before going to bed I watched some of the House of David. I love this series. It is remarkable. I've always loved learning about David and the wonderous works of God in his life and for the people of Israel. This is in part because my middle name is David. So far this series has not disappointed.

June 30th 2025

On this day we began with Bible Study at 6:30 a.m. followed by breakfast. The kitchen ladies created great meals and this one didn't disappoint either. I finished my meal with an extra cup of coffee and an extra couple of pieces of bacon. I was assigned to Triage Crowd Control and this job started around 8:00 a.m. with the site starting in the Chapel at 7:30 a.m. The first day of mission work was super. We had wonderful weather with a nice breeze. The temperature stayed in the 80’s and the people were friendly. We served blank people and had blank conversions… What a great day to serve the Lord! May his blessings continue to flow abundantly without ceasing.
