Week 4: Beauty Supports Others with Shante

Although I haven’t lived long enough to have all the answers, I’ve experienced enough miracles to have novels of testimonies worth sharing. And somewhere along the way, I’ve noticed how God has allowed my path to cross with women from all around the world—sometimes through mission trips, sometimes through ministry, sometimes through a simple conversation over “Just a Latte,” and sometimes in the most unexpected moments.

What began as a simple conversation became a prayer.
A prayer became a relationship.
A relationship became discipleship.
And discipleship became a woman discovering what it means to walk with God for herself.
Then the cycle repeated.

That is one of the greatest blessings of my life: helping women grow closer to Christ and then watching them become women who pour into others.

I’ve come to realize that God is transforming me into a sister to many—not because I have all the answers, but because I’m willing to listen, pray, share what He has brought me through, and walk beside another woman while she discovers Him for herself.

A wildflower doesn’t stop blooming because another flower is beautiful. It doesn’t need to outshine the flower beside it. It simply blooms where God planted it.

When one woman blooms, she doesn’t take anything away from another. Together, they make the whole field more beautiful.

Week 3 with Tamara 💞 Some things that I have realized through the years about beauty are: use a deep clean/exfoliating mask once a week because it helps keeps the pours clean. I tend to be more dry especially in the winter. I use Mary Kay’s extra emollient night cream at night before bed. That seems to help keep the dryness at bay. I also know that too much sun is not good, but my skin tends to be the most healthy looking when I have been able to get some good old vitamin D.
Probably most importantly is what you put in is what comes out. Personal observation- what we eat, drink, inhale, etc. shows up sooner or later… usually later. And it’s normally not easily reversed. Beauty is not only skin deep. Beauty starts inside of your heart. What you put in comes out.
