✨ Winners Announced | LFP Teens Creative Writing Contest ✨

The moment we’ve been waiting for is here! After careful review, we are proud to officially announce the winners of the 2026 LFP Teens Creative Writing Contest. 🎉

🥇 1st Place: Anaiya McClendon
📍 North Little Rock High School

🥈 2nd Place: Rory Strasser
📍 Jacksonville High School

This year’s contest may have been smaller in number, but it was powerful in purpose. Both of these young writers demonstrated creativity, commitment, and the courage to complete and submit their work — and that alone is worth celebrating.

Because of their dedication, both students will receive a gift card reward and a publishing opportunity with Literary Freedom Publishing. 📚✨

We are incredibly proud of Anaiya and Rory, and we’re honored to support them as they take the next steps in their writing journeys.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and poured into this year’s contest. This is how we continue building the future of literature — one young writer at a time.

Judge: Keira N. James

Bio:
Keira N. James is an indie thriller author hailing from Danville, GA. While the U.S. Navy once claimed her dedication, her heart has always belonged to the world of words.

Keira's love affair with books started long before her writing journey began. She'd lose herself in the pages of gripping tales, and now, she's the one crafting those twists, giving readers the same excitement she once enjoyed as a bookworm.

With dedication and determination, she has provided exceptional literary experiences for her readers, disrupted the book marketing within the independent author space, and been awarded Most Anticipated Release, Best Collaborative series, and Best Romantic Thriller awards for her novels, Bodied and The Vision Unveiled.

So, if you're looking for heart-pounding, page-turning suspense, Keira N. James is your go-to author. Dive into her world of thrillers and get ready for a literary escape like no other.

💬 A message from Keira to this year’s teen writers:

“You were called to create, not please. Trust the God who gave you the vision to guide the ex*****on. Don't chase perfection, chase purpose. Don't wait for discipline to show up, become it. What you build today will become your legacy tomorrow. So, write with fire, faith, and know that you have full permission to take up space in this industry. You can do this.”

We are grateful for the time and insight our volunteer judges are sharing with the next generation of writers.
