🚨 BREAKING 🚨 My FAVORITE ‘What’s Happening Star aka Dr. Danielle Spencer Dead at 60 😢 💔 🙏🏾 Lord strengthen the family.

Dr. Danielle Spencer's life was a true testament to resilience, compassion, and reinvention—shining both on-screen and in real-world service as a healer of both people and animals.

Dr. Danielle Spencer, stole hearts as the wisecracking Dee Thomas on the hit 70s sitcom What’s Happening!!, I was one of those hearts! I LOVED to hear and her Raj go back n forth.

She was confirmed dead 8/11/25 at 60 after a long battle with cancer. Her passing was confirmed by former co-star Dwayne aka Haywood Nelson, who remembered her as a “true light” on and off screen.

After her TV fame, she pursued a career in veterinary medicine, dedicating decades to caring for animals. Fans are mourning the loss of a childhood icon who balanced Hollywood charm with real-world compassion. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
