Rodney Crowell is a master singer-songwriter if there ever was one and you have an opportunity to experience his songs and stories up close with a full band this Sunday, June 21st at Twisted Tree. Doors open at 5:00 and the show kicks off at 6:00 with Twisted Tree favorite Sunny Sweeney. The show will be indoors and the B&S Grub food truck will be here so come early and get a great seat. There are just a few VIP seats left closest to the stage for this fully seated show and great general admission seats still available. It's been two weeks since I re-released my one and only album Room Painted Blue to the world digitally. DJs have been sending me their playlists from around the world. I couldn't be more humbled to be included with some of the biggest names in blues and roots music out there today. Truly grateful and thank you.

The re-release of the album came just a few short weeks before I lost my brother to pancreatic cancer. It's been a whirlwind of things here for me as I try to wrap my head around a cataclysm of events in my life over the last few months.

I'm truly grateful for all of the support. I'm gearing up on the photography side of things to shoot the summer edition of Street Trash magazine and just wrapped the first handful of days of BTS photography for Holler - Film. In between, I've been holding it down for the crew at Pizza Records while they shot the film over the last 18+ days in the hot and wet West Central Illinois summer. I was truly blessed to have met some of the finest filmmakers, artisans, and actors on set. I'm eager to see the finished product.

I had the great opportunity to sit and talk with Kenny Neal in 2009 at Buddy Guy's for the Blues Blast Music Awards. This magazine is signed and somewhere in my collection. Kenny was a gracious man with a head full of knowledge about all kinds of music that many have loved and adored over the years. I'm glad he's still with us to write a song and tell us another story. Keep his family in your thoughts as he recovers. Maybe, once he's able and willin', we can get him back to Central Illinois again.
