I walked out of another prison yesterday….

I was honored to be approved by the Alabama Department of Corrections to speak to inmates at the Ventress Correctional facility yesterday - in Clayton, AL.

I was invited by my friends Shelley Winner-Dupre and Struggle Jennings to speak at the Winner’s Circle event. I want to be very specific in thanking the ADOC, the Wardens, their staff, the CO’s, the Chaplain, the PI officer - everyone. It was a very special moment to be a part of. ❤️

The BlackLandcestry app is the solution to the epidemic of stolen Black land.

There’s been a 90% reduction in Black owned farmland in the last century, and a large portion of that land was taken by less than legal or honest means.

Kavon Ward has been helping her community get land restored their rightful owners/heirs. To amplify this Herculean task, she’s created the BlackLandcestry app to bring professionals together with people fighting to get their land returned to them. You can also check them out at blacklandcestry.com

Did you know that 40 Mississippi highway patrolmen shot 460 rounds into this building on the Jackson State campus in 1970? They k*lled Phillip Gibbs and James Earl Green, as well as injuring 12 others.
No police officers were charged or convicted in the shooting. An all white grand jury declined any indictment, stating the police were justified.
