Scenes from this weekend's Youth Bike Summit, held at Roxbury Community College. Reporter .jpg was on the scene as young people and adult allies from across the country came together to lead rich discussions about biking, youth empowerment, and equity and justice in their communities. Before closing out the weekend spent building new skills and making new friends, on Sunday, participants rode in style and solidarity on a 10-mile ride through Roxbury, Dorchester, and Jamaica Plain.

The 15-Minute City is reshaping urban life worldwide—adopted in Barcelona, Paris, Singapore, and Bogotá—to foster sustainability, accessibility, and stronger communities. But in the U.S., decades of car-centric planning have fractured Black and brown neighborhoods, prioritizing suburban sprawl over connected, vibrant cities.

Now, as cities rethink urban design, how can we embrace this global movement to build more equitable and livable spaces?

Join us for an insightful discussion with:

🔹 Carlos Moreno – Pioneer of the 15-Minute City, Professor at IAE Paris Sorbonne
🔹 Jim Aloisi – MIT Lecturer & Former MA Secretary of Transportation
🔹Moderated by Christian MilNeil Editor-in-Chief at Streetsblog MASS

Smile! Healey has signed a bus lane camera enforcement bill into law.

This means transit agencies like and municipal governments like the are now allowed to install cameras on buses and bus stops to issue fines against drivers who cause congestion and delays by illegally blocking bus stops and dedicated bus lanes.

Fines will range from $25 to $125 for bus lane violations caught on camera. Parking in a bus stop, which can be a serious safety hazard for mobility-impaired riders, will earn you a flat $100 fine.
