School leaders announced recently that Sumiton Elementary, Sumiton Middle and Dora High schools are now Level 2 certified in the Marzano High Reliability Schools program.

HAMILTON POST -- A single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 2:03 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, and has caused a road closure. All lanes of Alabama 195 near the five mile marker in Walker County are currently blocked and will be for an undetermined amount of time. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.

Winston County football teams travel to Sheffield for Football in the South Media Days

The Addison, Lynn, Meek and Winston County football teams took part in the Football in the South Media Days held at the Clarion Inn Conference Center in Sheffield on Monday. Twenty-seven teams took part on Monday with another 28 set for Tuesday.
