It’s the final week of Radio Catskill’s Summer Fund Drive—and what a weekend it was! The Summer Tiny Porch Concert and pool party were off the hook. Thank you to everyone who came out, danced, laughed, and donated. You mean the world to us.

Now it’s your turn to join in and help keep public radio alive in the Catskills and Northeast PA.

SUMMER FUND DRIVE UPDATE: We’re halfway to our goal—but we need your help to reach the finish line.

We have until next Friday, July 18, to raise $55,000.

Your support is more urgent than ever. The Senate may vote soon to take back previously approved funding for public media—funding we count on to keep you informed and connected.

Help us stay strong, stay local, and stay on the air.

It’s Day 4 of Radio Catskill’s Summer Fund Drive—and we need your support.

This summer, Radio Catskill needs you more than ever. Congress is considering legislation that could take back already-approved federal funding for public media—funding we rely on to bring you emergency alerts, local journalism, and the community storytelling that matters.

If this package passes the Senate by July 18, the effects could be immediate and devastating—especially for rural stations like ours. Federal support for public media costs just \$1.60 per person each year. Without it, we may not be able to provide the service you count on.

That’s why we’re asking you to do two things today:

1. Donate now during our Summer Fund Drive at wjffradio.org
2. Tell your Senators to protect public media at ProtectMyPublicMedia.org

Help us stay strong, stay local, and stay on the air.

Jeffersonville’s Camille O’Brien Competes on Coney Island for July 4th Hot Dog Eating Glory

Representing the Sullivan Catskills, Camille O’Brien stepped onto the national stage at Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest this Independence Day. Surrounded by legends like Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo, she called it “so surreal” to be among the sport’s biggest stars.

O’Brien downed six and a half hot dogs in ten minutes, placing 11th among the women competitors—and officially joining the ranks of Major League Eating. She’s already eyeing her next challenge: the buffalo wing contest in Buffalo, NY.

Her journey from Jeffersonville to Coney Island is a reminder of the stories that make our region unique.

🎙️ And it’s why Radio Catskill is here.

During our Summer Fund Drive, we’re asking for your support to keep local voices like Camille’s—and trusted news, emergency info, and culture—on the air across the Catskills and Northeast PA.
