Did you know gopher tortoise burrows provide shelter to more than 300 different species of animals?!

(And yes, I know, they're tortoises not turtles, but World Turtle Day was founded by the American Tortoise Rescue, so it counts 😅)

I'm grateful for places like botanical gardens and zoos, which make it possible to experience plants and animals that we may not have the opportunity to know and appreciate otherwise.
