*Stay for One More Dawn*

When the night presses in
and your thoughts feel heavier
than your body can carry,
pause.
Not to be brave —
just to breathe.

You don’t have to see the whole future.
You don’t have to feel hopeful.
You only have to stay
for the next small moment,
the next inhale,
the next sliver of light
that hasn’t arrived yet
but always does.

Somewhere, quietly,
your story is still unfolding.
There are people you haven’t met,
days you haven’t lived,
soft mornings that will touch your face
and remind you
that you were needed here
even when you couldn’t feel it.

Hold on for the version of you
who will look back and say,
“I’m glad I stayed.
I’m glad I gave myself
one more dawn.”

Tonight, just stay.
Not forever —
just for now.
Just for this breath.
Just for another day.
