First of all I’d like to help this gentleman out by introducing myself as the dumb neighbor of his mom & dad. I don’t mind making myself “famous”!!!
But now I’m going to mention the sweet babies we’ve lost through the years by the mouth of this 13 year old toothless German Shepard.
#1 I’d like to mention George (our cat) that we got a year before we had our son. George made it to the ripe old age of 18 before he was dis-bowled & his limbs ripped apart by this dog.
#2 Sophie (our Rat Terrier) that must’ve been a huge threat to this German Shepard because she was attacked by it several times in where the flesh on her back would be ripped off to the meat underneath & mind you this dog didn’t care that we were only 10 feet away, it would sn**ch and run. But Sophie wasn’t able to survive when this dog perforated her intestines.
#3 Sassy (our min pin), she was small but mighty and one of the best dogs we’ve had. She protected the farm so good. That dog attacked her multiple times in the same manner as it did her mom Sophie but she was no match to this big dog. Sometimes its “toothless” bite was fatal.
#4 This is about Minnie y’all (our mini dachshund), our 9 month old sweet baby. She loved her Amos (our mountain Kerr) and they were laying together on our back steps the night before last when she was grabbed up. Her loud, scared cries woke us instantly and my husband bolted out the back door as she was being taken around the corner of our home, I ran out the front door with keys in hand hearing her cries as she was being taken down the driveway. I jumped in the truck and raced in the direction of her cries & about 1/2 way down the drive I seen this “toothless” German Shepard with Minnie in its mouth. I pulled right up to them and jumped out & yelled GIT! The dog dropped her and ran home. I was devastated, she was dis-bowled & lifeless. I put her in the back of the truck and drove back up to the house. Wanting to go to their house right then but thought it probably wouldn’t be the safest thing for me to do at 1:30am. I googled Animal Control and seen they were closed so I called 911. Two deputies came out and I made my report. Then some hours went by and Animal Control came out. They did take the neighbors dog to be held until court.
Thank you to the two deputies from Garland County Sheriff's Office for coming out as quickly as you did, and being compassionate about the loss of our Minnie girl.
Ronny J bless your heart, too bad you weren’t there to see it like I was.
*And side note* I definitely know the difference in a German Shepard and Coyote, I’ve had far too many encounters with both.
Y’all I wasn’t even going to respond to this, but here we are. And I’m trying to get through this as gracefully as I can.
I’m just trying to get some sort of justice for our sweet girl.
