“ She stood in the storm and when the wind did not blow her way, she adjusted her sails.” ~ Elizabeth Edwards
Yesterday morning I stood at the back door watching as the rain poured in sideways and the wind gusts blew through the garden knocking plants to the ground.🥺
We had a pretty good sized sweet gum snap down by the pond. A big oak limb sailed across the yard about 15’ and forked around a sweet gum nearly laying the tree to the ground. Limbs everywhere. We were without power until 8 o’clock last night.
The garden looks rough but things are trying to perk back up. Some of the sunflowers broke, & pepper plants are laid over. I think it will recover for the most part. I’m going to prune the sunflowers and see if more will sprout up from the stems. All the animals are safe and the coops and pens are just fine. I’m so thankful for that.🙌🏻
Did anybody else have any wind damage yesterday?
