Parents/Guardians,
We are contacting you at this time to make you aware of a lockdown that took place at the high school as well as to dispel false rumors that are circulating regarding what happened. This morning, a drug dog search took place at the high school as part of the school’s safety and wellness protocols. These searches occur randomly, so the school administration did not announce in advance that law enforcement was bringing the dogs to the campus. The school went into a soft lockdown, meaning students and staff had to stay in place until the search was complete to ensure the safety of all those on campus. We are thankful and proud to announce that after a thorough search of the school campus, no drugs or weapons were found. Social media rumors of weapons being located are false, and at no time was there any danger to the students and staff members. Normal school operations resumed as soon as the search was concluded.

Ongoing Situation: This video was taken earlier today around Goodwill area in Jesup. While shopping, you may not notice, but if you look closer there is an obvious issue. Bags, cups, cans and other garbage litter the area all around Walmart, goodwill, and the surrounding stores. This is due to heavy foot traffic in the woods and people living here.

We aren’t providing an opinion, just showing you what’s out there and going on right now, and how serious it still is.

BREAKING: Stolen Vehicle gets into pursuit with Wayne County law enforcement.

This morning, Authorities were notified of a stolen vehicle in the vicinity of Rayonier Rd. The driver of the stolen vehicle initiated a pursuit, that resulted in his arrest after hitting a tree at Jesup Elementary School.
