Yoga isn't poses. It's not about the brand of pants you wear or how you look. It isn't supposed to be an image or a look.

I get frustrated and disillusioned when I spend any time whatsoever on these platforms (I know, how ironic.). But how else do we communicate about the good stuff?

The thing is, these platforms were supposed to be a way of letting small businesses, creators, makers, those offering service... a way to spread the word when you aren't a billion dollar company. And look what they've become.

Yoga IS what we need today. That is the significance of this message, long and short.

To let go of everything else. Let go of the clutter that is the current state of the media. Let go of all of the messaging that is aimed at you day in and day out.

Return to your SELF. And your community, those that you speak to face to face, and those you care for with a touch, with spending time grabbing coffee, spending hours making and eating dinner.

Last night, I had dinner and saw a show with a new friend and we talked for hours about life. We connected over similar stories from our pasts and shared childhood memories. My heart is full.

Share your own positive, real life moments in the comments if you wish. Let's remind each other of all the love in our lives and what we used to ❤️ about "social" media.

If you'd like to spend some time with us on the mat, see you Thursday at Fairy Moon Yoga ❤️ Sign up in comments.

This Sunday 3/15! Even if you're just coming for my homemade Chai! 😉

Sangha Meditation is a shared practice of stillness, presence, and mindful awareness, rooted in the traditions of Vipassana and Zen. Sangha means spiritual community, and practicing together creates a supportive, nourishing container where individual meditation is strengthened by collective energy, silence, and care.

Each monthly gathering will begin with a short reading inspired by Zen and insight meditation themes, offering a gentle orientation for the practice. We’ll then move through 45 minutes of meditation together: 15 minutes of seated meditation, 15 minutes of walking meditation, and another 15 minutes of seated meditation. This rhythm invites both steadiness and ease, helping awareness settle not only in stillness, but also in movement. If you're curious about the seated meditation technique, read this.

After meditation, there will be optional sharing, followed by time to connect over my homemade vegan chai tea. This closing circle reflects the heart of sangha, community as refuge, where we practice being present with ourselves and one another, just as we are.

All levels of experience are welcome. Whether you are new to meditation or deepening an existing practice, this sangha offers a space to cultivate mindfulness, compassion, and a deeper connection to the present moment. Together.

This is a donation based class. All donations will go to Fairy Moon to support this beautiful space that we are grateful to have in our community. ~Maya
