This Sunday 3/15! Even if you're just coming for my homemade Chai! 😉
Sangha Meditation is a shared practice of stillness, presence, and mindful awareness, rooted in the traditions of Vipassana and Zen. Sangha means spiritual community, and practicing together creates a supportive, nourishing container where individual meditation is strengthened by collective energy, silence, and care.
Each monthly gathering will begin with a short reading inspired by Zen and insight meditation themes, offering a gentle orientation for the practice. We’ll then move through 45 minutes of meditation together: 15 minutes of seated meditation, 15 minutes of walking meditation, and another 15 minutes of seated meditation. This rhythm invites both steadiness and ease, helping awareness settle not only in stillness, but also in movement. If you're curious about the seated meditation technique, read this.
After meditation, there will be optional sharing, followed by time to connect over my homemade vegan chai tea. This closing circle reflects the heart of sangha, community as refuge, where we practice being present with ourselves and one another, just as we are.
All levels of experience are welcome. Whether you are new to meditation or deepening an existing practice, this sangha offers a space to cultivate mindfulness, compassion, and a deeper connection to the present moment. Together.
This is a donation based class. All donations will go to Fairy Moon to support this beautiful space that we are grateful to have in our community. ~Maya
