Smoke can hurt your eyes, irritate your respiratory system, and worsen chronic heart and lung diseases. The quantity and duration of smoke exposure, as well as a person's age and degree of susceptibility, play a role in determining whether or not someone will experience smoke-related health problems.

9-1-1 TELEPHONE OUTAGE IN GRANT COUNTY

CANYON CITY – Grant County Emergency Management Coordinator Eric Bush reports that the Grant County 9-1-1 service is currently experiencing a telephone line outage.

Bush stated, “Per our procedures, 911 lines are being forwarded to an alternate line. You may have delays in reaching the 911 center in an emergency. If you cannot get through, you can contact the appropriate agency directly via their business lines.”
The number to the Grant County Sheriff's Office is 541-575-1131.
