SCAM ALERT: In a recent scam circulating NWA, a caller is stating he is representing Benton County Sheriff’s Office and has warrants for your arrest for Failure to Appear and Contempt of Court charges in the federal system. He may tell you that you have failed to appear in front of a federal judge to comply with a jury panel in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He has listed the Judge as Honorable Susan Hickey (who is an actual Circuit Judge). He then will demand to track your phone as you go to the Sheriff's Office and lists a monetary amount you will owe. We have confirmed with BCSO this is a scam and they will not call you for anything related to this.

As always, be suspicious of calls you receive that don't make much sense and especially that ask for private information or money. Call us with questions - 479-855-3771.
