We are officially in the Wild Wild West of social media marketing.

One platform might be gone in four months, another has changed its name and having an identity crisis, and others are being run by CEOs who are, to put it nicely, out of touch. One of them is out here making video updates like he’s discovering his own app for the first time. Meanwhile, algorithms are changing every other day, and the data isn’t "dataing" the way it used to.

It’s chaos.

And guess who’s stuck navigating all of it? Your social media manager.

They’re juggling multiple platforms, keeping up with trends that have the lifespan of a TikTok sound, and trying to make sense of engagement metrics that don’t even make sense to the platforms themselves. All while likely being a team of one.

So, give them some grace. We don’t have all the answers because, honestly, neither do the people running these platforms. But we’re out here making it happen anyway.
