🎉 IT’S OFFICIAL — THE JOHNSTOWN INCLINED PLANE REOPENS TOMORROW! 🎉

After a long wait, one of Johnstown’s most iconic landmarks will officially reopen Friday, September 4!

And even better — rides are FREE for the first 30 days!

Current hours:

• Thursday: 11 AM–9 PM
• Friday: 11 AM–11 PM
• Saturday: 11 AM–11 PM
• Sunday: 11 AM–9 PM

The Inclined Plane will also be open Labor Day, Monday, September 7, from 11 AM–6 PM.

A community grand reopening celebration will be announced soon!

Have you heard???

IT'S OFFICIAL: The Johnstown Inclined Plane reopens TOMORROW, Friday, September 4! 🎉

One of our region's most treasured landmarks is returning to service, and we can't wait to welcome you back aboard.

As part of the reopening, CamTran is providing 30 days of free rides beginning tomorrow.

During the initial reopening period, while CamTran continues training additional operators, the Inclined Plane will be open the following days and hours:
-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
-Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
-Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Inclined Plane will also be open on certain holidays, including this Labor Day, Monday, September 7, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

💎 Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover 💎

One of my favorite things about Conzatti’s Italian Market happens before I even buy anything…

It’s when you pull that door open and walk inside. That smell hits you—the mix of fresh bread, cheeses, meats, spices and all those Italian foods together. I don’t even know if you can describe it unless you’ve walked into a little Italian market before. ❤️

And then there’s the biscotti…

Conzatti’s has a HUGE selection of homemade biscotti flavors, and I’ve decided I’m going to try my way through them!

So far I’ve tried Coconut and Mixed Berry.

The hardest part is deciding which flavor to grab next because there are so many to choose from.

For those of you who have tried Conzatti’s biscotti… what flavor should be next on my list?

💎 Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover 💎

Okay, this is exactly why I started this page…

We tried Keystone Restaurant & Truck Stop in Loretto, and before I even tell you about it, I want to hear from those of you who know the history of this place.

Was there something else here years ago? Did you come here as a kid or have memories of this location? Tell me everything you remember—I absolutely love hearing the history behind these places. ❤️

And if you’ve ever driven by and wondered what was back there, I’m telling you—give it a try!

When you first pull into the parking lot, it looks a little deserted, but then you spot the building where the restaurant is and it looks so inviting. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted, and there’s a sign letting you know to seat yourself.

We went on a Tuesday, which is their BBQ Buffet from 11 AM–7 PM. They also have a regular menu if a buffet isn’t your thing.

I was really impressed with how well the buffet was kept. Everything was fresh and hot, and they were constantly filling it. They also had soup, salad and fresh fruit, and that entire area was absolutely beautiful and fresh.

And the food… ❤️

One of my favorites was the BBQ sandwich I made, the chili was really good, and that cornbread! It was so good it almost tasted like a little dessert.

The restaurant itself was very clean and comfortable, and our waitress was amazing. She kept our drinks filled and checked on us several times to make sure we didn’t need anything.

We were there between 11 AM and 2 PM, and they even give a $2 discount during that time.

If you’ve driven past this place and wondered what it was—or maybe you’ve seen their ads and wondered if you should try it—just go. It was really good, and I’m glad we finally did!

We tried JR’s Sports Den in Johnstown last night, and Wednesday just happens to be wing night!

📍 512 Oakland Ave, Johnstown, PA 15902

As soon as we sat down at the bar, everyone was so friendly. It had that comfortable neighborhood-bar feel where you don’t have to be a regular to feel welcome.

Of course we had to try the wings, and I’m glad we did! There’s just something about finding one of these little local places where the food is good, the people are friendly and you immediately feel comfortable walking in.

I’m learning there are so many places like this tucked around Johnstown that I probably never would have known about if I hadn’t started exploring.

Have you been to Watami on Scalp Ave?

This really is one of those little hidden gems in Johnstown. From the outside you might not know what to expect, but once you walk in, it’s clean, comfortable and welcoming with little touches of Japanese decor throughout.

I got sushi and crab rangoons, and everything was delicious. 🍣❤️

I also keep hearing wonderful things about the service and how kind the owner is—which always makes a local place that much more special.

And apparently I need to try the boba tea! I’ve heard that’s really good too.

Nothing fancy or upscale… just one of those little places that makes you glad you stopped in.

Now I want to hear from the Watami regulars… what do you order? What’s the one thing on the menu I absolutely need to try next?
