There are moments in life when a story is not just written. It is carried. Letters to John Boy became that kind of story for me. It was born from the hardest season of my life and shaped by the love of a father who refuses to let grief define the final word. Every chapter came from a place I did not know how to speak out loud for years.

I never expected the book to reach as many people as it already has. I am grateful for every person who picked it up, shared it with a friend, or sent me a message about how it touched a memory or a wound in their own life. Your support means more than you know.

This was one of those nights that reminds you why the work matters.

Honored to emcee and lead the Q and A with Scott Jennings. Thoughtful, sharp, and exactly the kind of honest conversation the moment calls for. Grateful for his time, his candor, and his willingness to engage the room without a script or a safety net.

Huge thanks to Vance Patrick and Terri Nallamothu for trusting me with the room and the responsibility. That kind of trust is never taken lightly, especially when the audience is engaged, informed, and paying attention.

And this photo says more than words ever could. The symmetry, the room, the audience leaning in, the flag standing watch. It captures the weight of the conversation and the seriousness of the moment. No distractions. No noise. Just ideas, dialogue, and a room full of people who showed up to think.

The price of Letters to John Boy is now 18 dollars. The holidays are here, and this is the hardest season for people who are fighting silent battles. Many smile through pain no one sees. Many families face an empty chair that hurts more in these months than any others.

This book tells the story of my son, John Wesley Christian Anthony. The laughter he brought. The weight he carried. The day we lost him. It also offers something every hurting person needs. Hope. Real hope. The kind that reminds you your story is not over.

Letters to John Boy is now being made into a movie, and I pray it reaches the ones who feel forgotten and the ones who wonder if they still matter.

Grief Does Not Wear One Face.

It took two years for the full weight of my son’s death to crush me.

Grief has no timeline. It does not follow rules. It hides in the corners of your mind until one day it ambushes you without warning.

I was driving to the studio a few days ago when it happened. Out of nowhere, the entire night replayed before me. My brain had kept it locked away, protecting me from what I could not yet face. That day it unlocked the door.

Every detail. Every sound. Every moment.

I wept the whole drive. Then I had to walk into a radio studio and act like the world had not just shattered all over again.

That is grief. It is not polite. It is not predictable. It cannot be measured by how many tears someone sheds in public.

This is why the criticism of Erika Kirk is wrong.

Some want to define how a widow should mourn, as if love is proven by performance.

Here is the truth: Erika will grieve for the rest of her life. The ache in her soul will never disappear. She may build, she may work, she may carry on. That does not mean her love is gone.

It means grief has taken root in the deepest part of her being, where it will remain until her final breath.

Do not confuse silence with indifference. Do not mistake strength for a lack of sorrow.

Grief wears a thousand faces. None of them are wrong.

Give her grace!

This Sunday 09/21/25, FM 92.7 and AM 1400 The Answer will provide live coverage of “The Charlie Kirk Memorial Service.”

Turning Point USA, the political organization Kirk co-founded, has planned Kirk's memorial service to be held at State Farm Stadium, the NFL home of Arizona Cardinals, on Sunday, Sept. 21st in Glendale, Arizona. The doors will open at 8a MST, and the service will start at 11a MST (2p ET).

President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, high-level administration and Republican party officials, along with top political influencers are expected to attend.
