Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

As we honor this important day in American history, we reflect on the values of freedom, unity, and opportunity for all.

We accepted 2nd place from the submissions turned in by fellow broadcasters throughout Missouri. We are honored to receive this award for our service to our communities. American Media is building a Legacy of Excellence.

Bowl-a-Thon! Regional clay artists will gather at Skinner Studio, located at 19099 Aspen Rd., Diamond, MO 64840 on Sunday, June 14th from 1p-5p and have a marathon of throwing bowls for the 2026 Empty Bowls event! The Midwest Clay Artists are potters and ceramic artists from Missouri and Kansas who have banded together to strengthen their community and enhance individual practices through
collaboration and connection.
Join Gardens Ministries as we watch potters wedge the clay, throw approximately 2lb of clay onto the wheel and shape it into a beautifully handcrafted bowl, then leather dry and trim the bowls before the first bisque firing! Light refreshments available. The gallery is open for public purchases. This event is open to the public.
