Be sure to get out and vote today! Here is our recommendations:
City Council:
Josh Detar
Brian Cowles for Joplin City Council
Mary Price

Bonds:
Proposition Police and Fire: YES
Eagle Bond: YES

The suggestions for the charter changes:
Vote No, allow them to do a full review. We don't need to be changing "emergency" to "expedited", it doesn't change the meaning.
We also have too many people running for office that have no business near a calculator, let alone Joplin City Government; Vote NO on reducing the number of signatures to get on the ballot from 150 to 50. Who will this benefit? People who don't really have grassroots support, and then become spoiler candidates. Don't water down your vote by letting everyon in your neighborhood run, because they passed their petition around at Applebees.
