Here's the thing about living in a Southeast Alaska community with no roads in or out: what comes here, usually stays here. 🌲

Our Juneau landfill is expected to reach capacity in about 10 years. That's not just a future problem...it's happening NOW.

We do our best to give items a second life through consignment and thrift, but let's be real: not everything can be resold or donated. Stained, damaged, or worn-out items? They're heading to that landfill.

So here's the question we're asking our community: What do YOU do with items that aren't suitable to resell or donate?
