IRIDESCENT CLOUD CAP ABOVE A SUNSET STORM
A powerful sunset scene where a towering storm cloud rises above the horizon, crowned by a bright rainbow-colored cap at the very top.
This effect is called cloud iridescence. It happens when sunlight passes through tiny water droplets or ice crystals near the thin upper edge of the cloud. Those particles bend and scatter the light into pastel colors, creating a glowing rainbow band that looks like a crown above the storm.
The low Sun below adds golden rays through the cloud base, while the dark cloud tower makes the rainbow cap stand out even more.
A view like this fits open fields, rural roads, prairie skies, and stormy sunset horizons — especially after warm, humid weather when tall clouds, low sunlight, and thin ice crystals line up perfectly.
