sometimes you do just need to buy the camera! i really debated this purchase for so long and obsessed over the photos i saw my photo friends taking with it. in the end another photographer (who was also recently pregnant / just had her baby) who had convinced me to just take the plunge and get it! saying it made documenting her new baby and motherhood journey easy and fun and involved minimal editing to get the look she wanted. as can be so arduous to pull out a full frame dslr every time you want to snap some photos! and as you know i love shooting film buttttt am terrible at getting my personal film developed in a timely manner!
and so far i have to say i love this camera and have been taking it everywhere with me! the photos straight from camera are amazing and rarely need editing unless you really want to tweak something. you can shoot in raw and design and upload a multitude of film simulation presets to get so many different looks (truthfully i’m still messing around with that and having a blast!) these were shot using a kodak portra esque film stock simulation in early to mid day south florida light right off shore!
if you’re not a photographer it may take a little time to fully understand all the settings and what this lil fixed lens camera can do butttttt even on fully automatic everything settings you can take some amazing images! personally i think it would be a great camera to learn iso, aperture, and shutter speed on!
