Love. Forgiveness. Grace. Mercy. None of these things were magical concepts created by the Church. They are DIVINE longings placed in the human heart. Church people, non-church people, Christians, non-Christians, Jews, Greeks, atheists, Muslims all have a deep desire for these things. Recovery programs almost universally tell their people that they must have some 'power' higher than themselves. The Gospel answers the question of WHERE DID THESE LONGINGS come from when Jesus shows up in Bethlehem, raises His hand and says that because WE COULD NOT FIND GOD, He came to find us.

Don’t go dark without a reason.

And yes—we got your emails:
“Where have you guys been?”
“Why aren’t you posting?”
“Was Tullian raptured?”

Here’s the real story: our offices flooded. Like, epic flood. We were all in sunny South Florida filming new episodes when a cold snap hit North Mississippi. We didn’t find out until we got back—dramatic pause—and discovered that a pipe in the ceiling had been doing its best Niagara Falls impression for three and a half weeks.
Not kidding.

So… sorry about that. Enough said.

But good news: WE'RE BACK!! And just in time for Easter Week.

I got a text yesterday, and while I think I know how you’d respond, I want to you all to say it in your own words.

This is from a friend of mine who’s part of a traditional church but deeply loves the message of grace from Tullian Tchividjian and Misfit Preachers Here’s what she wrote:

“I have a question. I haven’t listened to everything yet, but I’m wondering—would I feel like I ‘belonged’ at The Sanctuary Jupiter? I don’t have tattoos. I don’t have a record. While I go to (my current church), I feel comfortable there. I feel the weight of my sin, like people at The Sanctuary Jupiter seem to… but would I be welcome with the hookers and addicts? The people whose sins have been plastered on the news? I think I’d feel like I belonged—but would I? Or would I just be the preppy girl who’s judged for not being ‘bad enough’?”
