Friendly Reminder: Empty the Shelters is still going on!

All Riverside County Animal Services shelters are well beyond capacity, and the pressure is growing every single day. With kennels overflowing and new pets arriving daily, we’re facing an urgent crisis.

That’s why we’re incredibly grateful to partner once again with the BISSELL Pet Foundation for the nationwide Empty the Shelters adoption event.

Adoptions will continue to be free until July 19, to help more pets find loving, permanent homes and give our shelter animals the second chance they desperately deserve.

Whether you’re looking for a hiking partner, a lap cat, or a playful pup, now is the time to adopt, save a life, and help ease the burden on our shelters.

Meet Shadow – a playful, affectionate pup searching for her forever home!

Shadow is full of joy and always ready for fun! Whether she's chasing toys or romping around the yard with other dogs, this happy girl knows how to bring smiles wherever she goes. After playtime, she'll run up just to say “thank you” with the sweetest tail wags and cuddles.

She recently got a break from the shelter on a Dog Day Out and she thrived! Shadow soaked up the sunshine, stretched her legs, and let her beautiful personality shine outside of the shelter’s stress.

Our shelter is over capacity, and amazing dogs like Shadow are waiting for a second chance. Can you be the one to give her the loving home she’s been dreaming of?
