POST TWO OF TWO!
Personally I’m the type of person that needs to have everything figured out and set up perfectly before I even consider attempting it.
During the height of covid, like many, I had a lot of free time on my hands. Also like many, I started a side hustle- www.UluAgency.com - with a few people that are close to me. We’re a business incubator that helps established businesses break into a new market or assist start-up companies with digital lead generation to grow 🌱 their business organically.
But OMG- here we are nearly a year later and we still haven’t officially launched it. We (and by we I mean I 😂) needed the PERFECT website, we needed the PERFECT social campaign, we needed to have the PERFECT screencast and so on and so forth on a million other business related items.
Guess what? No, we didn’t! Once we got going and just started talking to people about it- clients started pouring in- to the point where we’re actually outsourcing work and only focusing on a few accounts now. And yes- I’ve kept my day job- they are aware and SUPER supportive!
All those fears and self sabotaging behaviors were for nothing. We just needed to do it. Did we screw up? Oh yeah. We failed 😔 and we failed ☹️ and we failed 😫. We failed fast, we failed often and we failed harder till we got it right. 😁 And it was OK. It was actually better than ok. We don’t learn from our successes- we learn from our failures. Growth only occurs from discomfort.
So that’s my story starting ulu agency- if you liked this deep dive and would like to see more of them- let me know! Double tap with a like, leave your suggestion for what you would like to see next in the comments and if you really want to make me happy- go follow and like Ulu Agency on IG, FB, Twitter, etc!
Most importantly, now that you are on this journey of self discovery and overcoming your self-sabotaging behaviors - set some really big audacious goals for yourself and go fail a few dozen times before you reach them- DONT GIVE UP- lean into the suck! Just get 1% better then the person you were yesterday! Life will get so much better! I promise!
