Long time musician and son of George Kahumoku, Keoki Kahumoku will be making his appearance at the 29th Annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival - Kona Style - on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa from 1PM - 5PM. The youngest artist to perform at the Kona festival this year is Hawaii island resident Eli Ka'imilani who is still in his teens. He comes from a very musical family so his Mom and Dad are his inspiration. Eli is passionate about Ki-ho'alu and hopes to be instrumental going forward to be a steward of the artform on the Big island. After patiently waiting for sometime, Ira Varize of Hilo is finally going to be part of the Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival - Kona Style - that is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa from 1pm - 5pm. So, all of you Hilo residents come out and support this Eastside native as he will be the only artist from your part of the island. This year Sonny Lim won the "Best Slack Key Album of the Year" at the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards and we're very privileged to have Sonny perform at the Kona festival this year. It's been sometime that Sonny has participated in the festival so we're doubly blessed to have him. That being said, all of you Big Islanders should come out and celebrate Sonny's achievement by coming to the festival and show your support for your fellow Big Islander. Spread the news to your friends, family, neighbors, and strangers that the festival will be celebrating Sonny's achievements as well. It's September 1, 2026, and we're moving on to the next festival which is the 29th Annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival - Kona Style which is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa from 1PM - 5PM. We have a fabulous lineup of artists that will be performing including Blayne Asing, Brother Noland, Bobby Moderow, Sonny Lim, Anthony Pfluke, Kailua Moon, Kamuela Kahoano, Keoki Kahumoku, along with some
young artists like Ryder Briley, Eli Gallinger, Micah Lau and finally Hilo native Ira Varize. So, for a thrilling afternoon of fantastic music make plans to attend this festival and share the news with your friends and family. Tickets: Kamaaina $20.00 (it is recommended that local residents only buy their tickets at the door. Visitors $30.00 (visitors can also buy their tickets ahead of time at Eventbrite.com or, if they choose at the door). Children 12 & Under free admission.
