ABA term of the week: Behavior Specific Praise ✨

Behavior Specific Praise is a technique we love using at WSC. Rather than telling a student what to do or using negative words, we are using praise to increase the likelihood of positive behaviors. This is an excellent tool to use with learners because:

✨ Increases positive behaviors

✨Builds student confidence

✨Creates a positive environment

❌ “Be good” or “Stop doing that”

✅ “[Learner’s name], I like how you are calmly sitting in your chair!”

At WSC, we strive to pursue sustainability in every aspect of our center. We aim to purchase just what we need, reuse our inventory whenever possible, and recycle whenever we can. Environmental consciousness is at the forefront of our minds when making decisions for the center.

We encourage sustainability not just in tangible items, but in our daily interactions and behaviors. We are committed to fairness for our clients, parents, employees, and neighbors in the community.
