It’s hard to say goodbye—especially when someone has been such a vital, talented, and genuinely beloved part of your team for so long.

(And don’t worry… no one died.)

But we are saying a bittersweet farewell to our longtime Animator, Editor, and Videographer, Jeremy Davidson, who’s taken on an incredible new role outside of Overneath.

While we’re obviously sad to see him go, we couldn’t be prouder. Over the past four years, Jeremy helped take our motion graphics to new heights, edited some of our most impactful work, stepped into directing, and became a mentor and friend to the whole team.

In fact, his work here was so good, he didn’t even go looking for a new job—the new job came looking for him. And we think that says a lot: about Jeremy, about the work we’ve done together, and about the creative culture we’ve built here.

Jeremy will always be part of the Overneath family. We’ve been through a lot together, and we’ve seen him shine time and time again.

Join us in congratulating this tremendous human on an exciting new chapter. We’re going to miss him like crazy—but we can’t wait to see what he does next.

After 3.5 years with us, we’re wishing a warm farewell to our teammate and friend Landon Lacey, who’s heading into the world of full-time freelancing.

Landon came to Overneath as an already skilled photographer and 1st AC, ready to push further into video. Since then, we’ve watched him become an exceptional DP and lighting lead, and even dive into color grading.

He’s played a big part in growing our camera department and has contributed to some of the most creative work we’ve ever produced. We couldn’t be prouder of how he’s grown—and we’ll be cheering him on every step of the way.

Be sure to give him a call when you need a solid DP. We know we sure will.

“We exist to support survivors, to hold offenders accountable, and to help build a community free of sexual violence.”

That beautiful mission statement is what inspired me and my production company Overneath Creative to donate this Anthem video for Sexual Assault Services

SAS is an extraordinary organization based in Battle Creek, Michigan offering entirely free services to survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. Counseling. Crisis response. Advocacy. Education. All without cost, and all delivered with incredible compassion.

As director of this project, I was deeply moved by the staff and volunteers who let us glimpse the powerful work they do every single day. The healing they help make possible. The moments of strength they witness. The hope they help restore.

The entire Overneath team contributed to this project and it was one of the most meaningful stories we've ever told.

What also blew me away, though, was the response from our creative community. After we posted online that we were donating this project, other filmmakers and artists across West Michigan reached out - offering their talents, time, and tools to stand in solidarity.

One of the most unique elements? The MIXX’s split-screen effect, emphasizing how the product is customized to the individual. Our team brought that concept to life with clean cinematography, motion work, and detailed post-production.
