Went out for a date night with our friends last week and we all decided we wanted to try somewhere new! was suggested, so that’s where we went.

The atmosphere was great and it’s exactly what the name says a giant backyard! There’s also places to sit inside and outside and a bar on the inside as well!

We got a few apps to share. The Beer Cheese Pretzels, The Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts, and the Chips and Salsa! I think my favorite was between the Sprouts and Pretzels! The Sprouts are flash fried with a maple bacon glaze, topped with bacon bits, dried cranberries, crispy onions and locally sourced micro greens. I really liked all the flavors together!

For our entrees, my wife got the Backyard Cobb Salad, which had literally everything you could get on a salad, and she loved it! I got the Rodeo Burger! It had a generous portion of pulled pork, bacon, dill pickles, pepper jack cheese, American cheese, and BBQ Sauce! All the ingredients together blended nicely and the pepper jack gave it a tiny kick which was appreciated!

If you have kids or need a night away from the kids, is the perfect spot to be!

Had the weekend off last weekend and decided that I wanted to get Sunday Breakfast with my wife! Couldn’t figure out where to go and than I remembered seeing a place called the Cozy Egg Cafe on Facebook, who had Pumpkin Bread French Toast and knew I wanted to try it!

So drove the quick drive out to Mattawan to for breakfast! Tucked into Downtown Mattawan is this small little restaurant with a beautiful little patio to enjoy food and a coffee on! I didn’t realize the Pumpkin Bread French toast was a Daily Special only but still was excited to try the food!

My wife got Brioche French Toast! She loved the flavors of everything mixed as well as the texture the French toast had by using the brioche, which most places don’t use! I got the 3 meat Omelette with a side of toast! I loved the meats and how one didn’t overpower the other and the toast was perfect for wiping my plate clean!

Definitely enjoyed this place and will be back in the future! Make sure you get down to try their breakfast or lunch!

The great thing about the is all the small businesses you can try that you never heard of! For me being a food blogger, it’s a great way to sample something from each food business!

Last week, I got the luxury of trying ! They sell real Cajun cracklings! The owners are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and love to put a great product out!

They have two flavors as of right now, Mild and Spicy, but honestly you can’t go wrong with either! You can also buy their seasoning by the shaker and use it on anything!

You can find the seasoning at and among many other places soon! Make sure you like their page and get down to the market on Saturday so you don’t miss one of the best flavors in town!

Tried the at the on Saturday! If there’s something Kalamazoo does right, it’s gourmet glizzys for sure!!! This place had the best dogs! I got the Captain Caveman, it had chili, cheese, sauerkraut, mustard, red onion, the special sauce, Saucequatch, and everything seasoning! It was soo good and everything meshed so well!
My wife got the Windy City Wildman, which is their version of a Chicago Dog. She’s very picky but loved it!
Also, was told the biscuits and gravy were the best in town!!

Get out to the market while you still can to try this amazing restaurant

MI BOBA was robbed today in broad daylight. I only been once but felt the need to put a call to action to help them out. So if you can stop in and get you a boba or smoothie or latte and maybe throw some extra money in the tip jar to help them out!
