Bass Haven is lighting up on December 12 and we’re throwing a packed-out electronic dance party for a cause. Five dollars from every ticket goes directly to the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, with the goal of keeping families together over the holidays

Expect heavy bass, neon glow, deep atmosphere, and a lineup built to keep the floor moving:

What an incredible turnout at last month's Washington Avenue Arts and Culture Crawl w/ ! Seeing so many faces come together to celebrate the amazing creativity in our community was truly inspiring. Big thank you to every artist and organization that brought their passion and talent to the event you all made it unforgettable!

Nadia Johnson is a Kalamazoo native and local creative who turns precious moments with friends and the community into memorable works of art. While she has been a photographer her whole life, her career as an artist took off in 2025 when she had her first art exhibit featuring her photos.

Her photography and craft is distinguished by her signature gold leafing technique over 35mm film photographs, which combines each photo she takes with a sense of timeless beauty and contemplation

When she's not creating, Nadia can be found spending her time in the Vine neighborhood of Kalamazoo, where she serves as a club leader of the Kalamazoo Photo Collective and photographs interviews for Robert Steven Davis ().

Though she balances her studies and work as a nonprofit manager for a church in Parchment, creativity continues to be at the center of her life.

annual spooky open mic has returned to haunt you!👻 This time at "The Cauldron", the our community space in Kalamazoo's Edison Neighborhood. Doors open at 6:00pm and the open mic goes from 6:30-8:30pm. First come first serve, for sign-up! We will have an awesome spread of snacks including sugar cookies and popcorn! Costumes encouraged, good vibes guaranteed! Let's make this Halloween one to remember! 🎃🎉

It’s almost time for another Washington Avenue Arts and Culture Crawl! 🎨✨
Join us for a one-of-a-kind journey through Edison’s creative heart, a completely free, moving art experience starting at Dormouse Theatre and winding down Washington Avenue with live art, music, poetry, food, and interactive activities at every stop!
Come along with Emma and Casey as they explore each stop along the route giving you a sneak peek at the performance spots, art installations, and hands-on experiences waiting for you. From live music and poetry to creative stations, local vendors, DJ sets, and more, they’ll help you plan your perfect crawl route!
