Thursday 9/3/2026: The weather was a little crazy again today! Hot and humid with storms that developed but fizzled out as they got near this area. Other parts of the state got hit pretty hard though. When I got home at lunchtime today, I found momma deer lounging in the yard! Then I realized her babies were both out there too, one was walking around at first, but then I spotted both of them in brush! I have never seen a family of them resting in the yard! It was so amazing! There were there for at least 45 minutes! The turkeys were hanging around quite a bit. I saw them outside so I took some food out to them. They walked a few feet away but most of them will come closer to get some food. The mom with 1 baby is more cautious that the mom of 4. It's so amazing to hear them talking to each other

Tuesday 9/1/2026: Happy September! Wow, time sure flies! Today was hot, humid, and rainy! It's so humid I can't see out of the windows lol! Not as many birds today, probably because of the rain this afternoon. There are still plenty of squirrels around! The turkey families are still coming around and seem to know when I put food out there. Earlier I saw them all sprinting across the yard to get to the food!! It's always a great birdie day!

Monday 8/31/2026: It's been warmer today and humid too! It also rained and it might rain more tomorrow. My internet was working great for about 2.5 days, not it is back to not running my livestreams very well. When that happens, I don't get to monitor the birds very much! It did seem like more have been visiting the bowl in the past few days :) It's always a great birdie day!

Sunday 8/30/2026: Today was quite rainy for the first part of the day so I didn't end up getting any pictures. But I did got outside this evening and record a little video with my favorite bunny, which is always a treat! I will also post a link below to a youtube short of the fawns at my stream late in the day yesterday! They are so precious! It's always a great birdie and critter day!

Saturday 8/29/2026: The weather has been pretty nice lately, but I hear it might get warmer for a while. Today's photos are from yesterday. I didn't have time to post last night. Yesterday, the internet went down for a while and I was notified by my ISP. Interestingly, now it seems to be way more stable than it has been in the past 3 weeks! It seemed like something on our end, but now I am wondering if it was the ISP all along lol! Still seeing all of the turkeys (3 families) and my favorite bunny pretty much daily :) It's always a great birdie day!

Thursday 8/27/2026: The weather was beautiful today! There were more birds at the feeders since the tree guys weren't here :) Still not as many as there were just a few weeks ago. Still having some internet issues again today. Ugh. The 3 turkey families visited a couple times today! It's nice to see all of them! It's always a great birdie day!

Wednesday 8/26/2026: It's been a little crazy around here! I didn't post yesterday because the tree guys were out here most of the day, so the birds weren't really hanging out much. They came out again today, so the feeder was quite in the morning. My poor bird friends have been having so many reasons to stay away! Hopefully they will start coming back soon! Still working on getting my livestream cameras up and running, but I did get the stream camera back online today... yay! Tomorrow will be a much quieter day since the trees are all done for now. It's always a great birdie day!

Monday 8/24/2026: Today the weather was amazing! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days! I had a very busy weekend and actually got to spend a couple of days away from computers! I still had my phone, but it's somewhat limiting :D The birds are still a bit scarce these days but I'm sure they will return in time! The turkey families are still hanging around and the doe with twins has returned to the yard. The babies are getting so big! It's always a great birdie day!

Wednesday 8/19/2026: Sorry I haven't been posting as often lately! So many technical issues along with other obligations makes it a little more difficult! I think I am now able to livestream the platform feeder more regularly... yay! The squirrels are used to taking it over though. Today I think I finally figured out that there are 3 turkey families out here now! Group 1 - 1 mom and 4 babies, Group 2 - 1 mom and 1 baby, Group 3 - 2 adult females and 2 babies :) Group 1 and 2 often hang out together but the other day I did see mom 1 chasing baby 2. So I don't think they always get along. Today it looked like Group 2 wanted to eat the food I put out, but Group 3 was there and mom 2 seemed very leery of them. Interesting turkey dynamics! It's nice to see them all though! It's always a great birdie day!

Monday 8/17/2026: Today was much less humid than yesterday! Still not seeing a lot of birds around here, but that might be also because there is at least one hawk hanging around. I saw the hawk fly out of the tree by the house when I opened the door. The turkeys and babies spend a lot of time out here, so it's good to see them doing well! Two of the baby raccoons were out and about this morning, looking for food. One was peeking at me while trying to hide on the tree! It's always a great birdie day!
