Monday 6/1/202: Happy first day of June! It was another perfect weather day here! First thing this morning while out filling the feeders, I heard the calls of a Red-tailed Hawk that must have been very close to the yard! I was never able to see the hawk through the trees but it sat out there making lots of sounds for awhile! The baby bluebirds are doing very well! They were very alert today, staying awake for longer periods, grooming their feathers that are turning blue, and stretching their wings a little! It won't be long until they venture out into the world! It's always a great birdie day!

Sunday 5/31/2026: Another perfect spring day! I wish we had more days just like today! The baby Bluebirds are doing great! Their blue coloring is really starting to show on their wing feathers! They were pretty active today, very alert! This evening, I saw a female Scarlet Tanager about 10 feet away in the stream! I took a few pictures and a short video of her! It's amazing that it has now happened with the male and the female! They must not be terribly shy! It's always a great birdie day!

Saturday 5/30/2026: Since I haven't had much time to sort any photos the past couple of days, I thought I should show an updated video of the baby bluebirds! This video might be from late in the day yesterday, so the have probably changed already! They are about 12 days old today! It's always a great birdie day!

Thursday 5/28/2026: Today was a beautiful day! It was warm and sunny but the humidity must have been low, which felt really nice! The birds were very busy again. One or two Red-shouldered Hawks have been hanging around quite a bit. The baby bluebirds are thriving and growing so fast! Today their tiny feathers looked so much bigger than yesterday! It's aways a great birdie day!

Tuesday 5/26/2026: Today was a beautiful day. It got a little warm but it felt nice outside in it! The yard was very busy again today. The two rabbits were around quite a bit again today. Yesterday, one of the was actually in the garage lol! The bluebird babies area growing so fast! Today it seemed like they weren't getting fed quite as often as yesterday, looked like they had more rest time. It's always a great birdie day!

Monday 5/25/2026: What a beautiful day! After the past few cloudy and rainy days, today was a nice change! The yard was really bustling this morning! There were two rabbits hanging around a good portion of the day, even after the Red-shouldered Hawk took a swoop at them! Yikes! I believe I also saw a Cooper's Hawk briefly. Later in the day I spotted a Canada Warbler on the stream camera! The baby bluebirds are starting to open their eyes now! I can't remember if I mentioned thinking they would be fledging in a week, but if I did, I was wrong! It's actually about 2 more weeks... yay! lol! It's always a great birdie day!

Sunday 5/24/2026: Today we got some decent rain! I didn't get many photos before it started raining and the birds and camera got soggy! It was getting late so I didn't do any editing either. I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! It's always a great birdie day!

Saturday 5/23/2026: Today has been cool and a little rainy. It has been getting dry so the rain we nice. The birds were quite active throughout the day. The Red-shouldered Hawk visited a few times, twice landing on the platform feeder. The bunny has been visiting more regularly too, so I hope the bunny stays safe! The bluebird babies are growing by the minute! Hard to believe they will be ready to fledge by this time next week possibly! It's always a great birdie day!

Friday 5/22/2026: The weather was a little cool today but lots of sunshine! Late this afternoon, I was planting flowers by my stream camera. It took quite a while and the birds seemed to be getting impatient. Something pretty amazing happened when it was almost done... A male Scarlet Tanager landed very nearby! Then he came even closer so that he was no more than 10 feet away! It was so amazing to see him so closely! I was able to snap some pictures of him with my phone, though I'm sure they don't do him justice! After that, a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak landed a few feet from me, maybe 6-8 feet? I was able to get pictures of him too! I might try sitting out there in the evenings with a better camera and see if they will come close like that again! It's always a great birdie day!

Thursday 5/21/2026: Sorry for being gone for a while, things are starting to get back to "normal" again. It's been a really tough 7-8 months around here. Today was a little cool but a pretty day. Some of these pictures are from several days ago that I didn't get a chance to sort through, and some are from today. I hope everyone is doing well. The birds have been pretty busy around here lately and I have tried to keep up on their feedings. I should be back to a more regular schedule, so that should help. There are 3 baby bluebirds, one of the eggs never hatched but it is still in the nest. Mom and dad are taking good care of the triplets
