Become heart opened and excepting of others through the experience of Ecstatic Dance. Ecstatic Dance was started in San Francisco and is now all over America, Europe, and many other countries. And believe this, it's well known that the Big Island is a huge ambassador of it. Thanks to Max Fathum and the Kalani Oceanside Retreat Center - and not to leave out the beautiful community of Puna. Ecstatic

⚙️The Technician⚙️

A fixture in the Hawai‘i Island ecstatic dance scene in recent years and a regular guest facilitator at Kalani Ecstatic Dance, Danny Waddell—also known as The Technician—returns to pilot the ship this Sunday.

Rooted in the belief that music and movement can shift states, open hearts, and restore balance, his sets create a container for journeys that invite dancers to drop deep into themselves and into the heart of the human experience.

With a sound that moves beyond genre, Danny meticulously crafts his sets with intention, offering soundscapes designed for depth, surrender, and liberation through the embrace of it all.

His relationship with dance music spans over three decades, beginning in the Atlanta rave scene, evolving through the Orlando club circuit, and finding renewed purpose within the Hawai‘i Island ecstatic dance community.

The evolution of his style mirrors the evolution of his own consciousness—shaped by years of exploration, practice, presence, and deep listening.

Danny is grateful for each opportunity to co-create and learn within community, and to walk a personal and collective path of discovery, healing, transformation, and cultivation of all the good things.
