Southern Utah News succeeded the Kane County Standard (founded in 1929) and has run continuously since 1953. The paper has an online and print circulation of approximately 2,400. In addition to local school, sports, and community news, the SUN also publishes editorials, obituaries, wedding announcements, police reports, and special features.
