Happy Star Wars Day! Contrary to common folklore, Dale Earnhardt didn’t change his cars livery to the iconic black and silver because someone at the team was inspired by Darth Vader. According to his boss, Richard Childress, GM preferred bright blue and white colors for its Goodwrench-branded break boxes. The team mocked up half a car in that livery but covered the other half in black and silver duct tape. When presenting the car half-wrapped in the two proposals, Childress stressed that the black car with white (or silver, in the case of the initial mock-ups) decals would contrast better with the black asphalt of a race track.

We all know what livery they chose, and boy, howdy, aren't we glad they did!

I started this journey because I wanted to find an escape from my 9-5 in healthcare. During COVID, got me through the stressful hours of clinical work I had to do (and is the reason I have a Miata & Taco), so once I got more free time, I decided to pay it forward 😄

I remember starting a few months back when was the only dude who liked a post, and I had maybe 10 followers. A couple of months later, I’m at 1k! My dad always told me to celebrate every step, no matter how small they are ❤️ Once again, thank you so much!
