I (25F) recently had surgery and was ordered a month of rest, no driving. Around the same time, my sister Kathy's (28F) car broke down. Since mine sat unused, I let her borrow it — no fee, no limits — just "take care of it like it's yours." She was thrilled and drove it for a month.
The night before my first big outing since surgery — a desperately needed job interview — Kathy returned the car. The next morning, I dressed, grabbed my portfolio, and turned the key.
Click. Click. THUMP.
Panicking, I called Kathy.
"Maybe it's out of gas?" she said casually.
"You didn't fill it?" I asked.
"Of course, no. It's your car. Figured you'd do it."
She'd used it for a month, on my gas, and left it bone dry. I scrambled for a rideshare, but by the time I arrived, my slot was gone.
Back home, I sat with my head in my hands until Dad walked in. I told him everything. His jaw tightened.
"Don't cry, honey. I love both my daughters, but Kathy needs to learn a lesson about taking advantage of kindness. Trust me. Invite her for dinner tonight."
I was skeptical. Dad's not the vengeful type, but he can be… creative. I texted Kathy and invited her for dinner. ⬇️

I had been waiting for this moment for several months. Lewis took the day off to meet my parents. We've been officially dating for three months, but he kept telling me he was too busy with work and couldn't meet my parents (as it turned out, that was all a lie and he wasn't working as a mechanic).
So, when we entered the house and my parents first saw Lewis, I noticed my dad's expression drastically change. But I wasn't prepared for what happened next.
My dad invited Lewis to take a tour of the house and they started with the basement. But as soon as Lewis stepped inside, my father immediately slammed the door, locked it, and started calling the police. ⬇️

So, we came back from our vacation a bit earlier than planned because my wife got sick during our trip to the ocean, and we decided to head home a few days early.

The first thing I did when we got home was to check the backyard to make sure everything was okay while we were gone. And OMG, I was shocked to find a huge hole dug in our yard!

I was about to call the cops, but then I noticed a shovel, a new bottle of water, and some other stuff left in the hole. I thought, "What if this person is digging at night to avoid being seen and knows we're supposed to be on vacation?" So, I decided to make it look like we hadn't come back yet and parked the car in the garage. My plan worked.

That night, I saw a silhouette jump over the fence and head towards the hole.

When the guy jumped into the hole, I came out of the house and approached ⬇️
