This week, construction began on a new, city-owned parking garage in the 18th and Vine district. 🚗

The $20 million structure located on the corner of 18th Street and Lydia Avenue will offer up to 470 spaces + is expected to be complete by the 2026 FIFA World Cup in about a year.

A streetcar expansion to 18th Street is on track. 🚎

The Kansas City Streetcar Authority approved a feasibility study for an east/west line yesterday, which is set to begin this year.

The study will determine the role the streetcar plays in development in the district and will be dependent on public engagement.

This study will be independent from the one along 39th Street.
