Some of you may or may not know that I’ve been in the digital marketing industry for the last two years.

Got CPD certified in online marketing strategies last year and invested in a digital marketing course with master resell rights.

I recently created a pitch presentation for a local company near by my home to offer my digital marketing, social media management, and virtual assistant services to.

Those of you who know me know that I can be a bit reserved and it can come across as standoffish but in all honesty I’m really sweet just a little socially awkward lol.

Anyways it took me weeks of research, creating, planning, and strategizing. Not to mention it was the first time where I would be creating my own presentation and presenting it in front of the owner of the company.

Although it didn’t turn out the way that I had expected I gained valuable lessons and experience during the process.

I kept trying to talk myself out of doing the presentation because I was so nervous and scared of having to speak in front of an audience. Like I said before I had invested weeks already at this point so I told myself there was no turning back now.

I told myself I had nothing to lose. The worse they could do was say no. I told myself that if you don’t ask the answer will always be no. In the end I was so proud of myself because it was a huge milestone in my marketing career and in business. 🥂

I remember back when I first graduated cosmetology school as a licensed esthetician then got certified by NAHA (National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy), AIA (Alliance of International Aromatherapist), and AADP (American Association of Drugless Practitioners) as an Aromatherapist | Essential oil Specialist in 2020.

I was in the process of creating and launching my own skincare line (my first business). At that time Massage Envy had a sale where you could become a franchise owner for $10k and I was interested in doing so until they wanted me to sign a non compete waiver which would have meant that I couldn’t own a competing business.

I decided that it’d be a conflict of interest and didn’t move forward with it. Looking back I’m actually glad that I didn’t but I wonder why more people aren’t looking into owning franchise companies?

Ironic because my first business was how I actually ended up exploring and venturing off in to social media management, digital marketing, virtual assistance & becoming a self taught graphic designer.

I like to think of myself as a Jill of all trades but tbh being multifaceted is a gift and a curse lol it took me a long time to become who and what I am today!

Social media can be hugely beneficial to your online business success. You can reach more people worldwide, and with the right strategy, you can increase your revenue.

Sharing some practical tips on social media today for you because we all know what that overwhelm can be like

1) Know your ideal client - Creating content becomes easier when you're intentionally trying to reach that specific person. Not to mention the results when you are laser-focused on attracting that one person.

2) Video content - Right now, video content is king, and you might or might not be here for it, but it's staying. So slowly try and create more video content to build on your confidence. It's worth your while to experiment.

3) Clear strategy - Clarity on what your social media strategy is will truly help build your brand and business

4) Consistency - Your hard work will always pay off, and keeping consistent on social media will speak volumes when it comes to long-term results

5) Show up on stories - A great way to build trust with your audience and convert them into paying clients. (especially on instagram)
