Sometimes you just have to step out of the box and do something different.

The third Tuesday of the month is usually when the Ministers’ Wives gather, but with the hustle and bustle of life, we met this Tuesday instead. Sometimes a change of plans is exactly what is needed.

Our own Sister Ellie was scheduled to teach the lesson, but because it was her birthday, we decided to give her the night off! Instead of our usual agenda, we enjoyed an evening of laughter, fellowship, great conversation, and simply being together.

One thing I truly cherish is that Ministers’ Wives and Widows have a place in ministry too. We faithfully serve alongside those whom God has called, supporting, encouraging, praying, and ministering in countless ways. But beyond our roles in ministry, we are also people. We are a sisterhood. We laugh together, we cry together, we talk together, and most of all, we have each other. In a world that often asks so much of us, it’s a blessing to have women who truly understand the unique joys and challenges of this calling.

It was a beautiful reminder that fellowship is also ministry. Taking time to encourage one another, celebrate life’s special moments, and strengthen our sisterhood is just as important as any lesson we could have taught.

A very special thank you and God’s blessings to Sister Felicia for the beautiful décor. She always knows exactly what to do! Give her a little idea, and she turns it into something extraordinary. Your creativity, thoughtfulness, and servant’s heart helped make the evening warm, welcoming, and truly special. We appreciate you more than words can express.

Happy Birthday, Sister Ellie! We pray God’s richest blessings upon you, granting you continued joy, good health, abundant grace, and many more wonderful birthdays to celebrate. ❤️🎉

🇲🇬 Missionary Update from Madagascar 🇲🇬

To God Be the Glory!

We are excited to share another wonderful update from our missionary, Sister Genta Williams, who is serving faithfully in Madagascar. Remember, they are 8 hours ahead of us, so while many of us were sleeping, God was moving in a mighty way!

Yesterday, Genta had the privilege of bringing the message during the third church service of the day, and 58 children and young people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! What an incredible testimony of God’s saving power!

She has been sending pictures each day along with beautiful stories of what God is doing. The church services are filled to capacity—packed like sardines—because the people have such a deep hunger to hear the Word of God. It is truly inspiring to witness their love for Jesus.

One of the most touching moments was seeing the children’s ministry. In a small room next door, with over 100 children ages 3–8, they gathered for their daily Jesus lesson. The room has no electricity because it faces an alleyway, yet their joy, excitement, and eagerness to learn about Christ shine brighter than any light.

Tomorrow, the team will travel three hours away to an outdoor youth camp, taking church youth along with children from the orphanage. This will be the first time many of the orphanage children have ever experienced something like this. Genta jokingly said they will probably wear the team out—but what a blessing it is to give these precious children an unforgettable experience filled with love, laughter, and the Gospel.

Please continue to keep Genta and the entire mission team lifted in prayer as they serve, encourage, and share the love of Christ throughout Madagascar. We eagerly await each day’s updates and look forward to welcoming her safely back home to the United States.

Thank you for your prayers and support. We are so grateful for missionaries who answer God’s call to go into all the world and proclaim the Good News.

These are the poorest children in the center of the island and they come to become the teachers of their families and little siblings. The translators standing with the lead teacher were once children learning English, now they are adults teaching the children about Jesus. We each have a translator when we teach. Day 3 from Madagascar 🇲🇬

Missionary Update from Madagascar 🇲🇬

To God be the glory!

After weather delays in both Atlanta and Houston over the weekend, our missionary has safely arrived in Madagascar! She traveled through Paris, landing there at 3:15 a.m. (our time) before completing the final leg of her journey and touching down in Madagascar at 3:15 p.m. (our time), 11:15 p.m. local time.

We thank God for His traveling grace and faithfulness in bringing her and the team safely to their destination.

Although it has been a long journey, the work begins immediately. Tomorrow will be a full and meaningful day as the team visits an orphanage to distribute much-needed supplies, provide medicine for the children, and minister to them with the love of Christ. They will also be teaching English at the church to children and youth ranging in age from 5 to 18 years old.

Please continue to keep our missionary and the entire mission team lifted in prayer. Pray for God’s protection, strength, good health, wisdom, and favor as they serve His people. May every act of kindness, every lesson taught, and every word shared point others to Jesus Christ.

These are the final moments captured from the 2026 Missionary Baptist State Convention of Missouri—a truly historic occasion.

After faithfully serving for 10 years as President of the Missionary Baptist State Convention of Missouri, Dr. Linden Bowie officially passed the gavel, symbolizing the completion of a remarkable decade of visionary leadership, faithful service, and unwavering commitment to God’s Kingdom. His legacy will continue to bless this Convention for years to come.

Following the election by the Convention delegates, Dr. Alfred F. White was chosen as the newly elected President of the Missionary Baptist State Convention of Missouri. This marks not only the beginning of a new chapter but also a beautiful moment in our Convention’s history.

What makes this transition even more significant is that Dr. White’s father, Dr. Fate White, Jr., served as President of the Convention approximately 20 years ago. Now, a new generation carries the mantle of leadership, reminding us that God’s faithfulness continues from one generation to the next.

As one leader completed his assignment, another answered the call. We celebrate President Bowie’s extraordinary service, congratulate President White on his election, and pray that God will grant him wisdom, strength, and favor as he leads the Missionary Baptist State Convention of Missouri into its next season.

Missionary Baptist State Convention of Missouri – Ministers’ Wives & Widows Annual Day

Last Tuesday, we celebrated the Missionary Baptist State Convention of Missouri Ministers’ Wives & Widows Annual Day, and what a beautiful and meaningful day it was!

During her Annual Address, our President, Lady Eunice White, paid a heartfelt tribute to the widows among us. She reminded us of their strength, faith, resilience, and the invaluable role they continue to play in the Kingdom of God. It was a touching moment of honor and appreciation for these remarkable women whose lives continue to inspire us all.

As is our cherished tradition, we concluded our Annual Day by gathering together for our official group portrait—a beautiful reminder of the sisterhood, love, unity, and legacy we share as Ministers’ Wives and Widows across the great State of Missouri.

To God be the glory for another blessed Annual Day filled with fellowship, encouragement, and lasting memories.
