How Does a Gas Pump Know When to Stop?

Your gas pump doesn't actually know when your tank is full. A tiny sensing port near the nozzle tip detects when rising fuel blocks the airflow, triggering the automatic shutoff mechanism.

Why Are There Cameras at Traffic Lights?

That camera above a traffic light isn't always there to catch drivers breaking the law. Many intersections use cameras or other sensors to monitor traffic flow, detect vehicle queues and help traffic management systems respond to changing conditions.
