NEW...and YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS ONE.

Jamie sat down with author Eli Frankel and UMKC’s Chris Wolff to dig into one of Kansas City’s most disturbing unsolved murders, the 1941 killing of 24-year-old Leila Welsh. In his new book Sisters in Death, Frankel connects Welsh’s case to another infamous unsolved murder, the 1947 killing of Elizabeth Short, better known as the Black Dahlia. After five years of research, he makes a compelling argument that both women may have crossed paths with the same Kansas City man.

The conversation was recorded live at a packed Rainy Day Books. Catch the full episode on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. You can also listen online at our website, linked below.
