Our Story (for lack of a better title)

“The Scene w/ Pretty Boy” brings you the past, present & future of Kansas City's regional music scene, Fridays @ 10pm CT on Kearney, MO’s 102.7 FM KPGZ-lp. The station can be heard over the air in east-central Clay County, MO, as well as online at www.1027fm.rocks. TuneIn users can also find the station by searching “KPGZ”. The show features a strong cross-section of the musical talents the Kansas City area has to offer (as well as artists with a strong KC connection). The show also features artists from Lawrence, St. Joseph, and other cities in the region. Expect to hear rock, metal, punk, rockabilly, blues, folk, alternative, alt-country, roots, Americana, experimental and just about any (and every) other genre you can imagine. Weekly features include “Spotlight on The Scene”, an in-depth look at one of the region’s top artists (or “hidden gems”), and the “Scene Stealer” song of the week.

Pretty Boy has been involved with 102.7 FM as a volunteer since October 2013. He’s been a show host since November 2015, originally co-hosting the weekly retro metal show “Hair Band Heaven” alongside BK. He inherited “The Scene” (from BK) in May 2016.
