Each week we invite the most amazing people into the kitchen studio as our special guest...we cook together, we eat together and we engage in a conversation. Our guest(s) range from political candidates to non-profit executives

; each bringing vital information and resources to our community. We use the kitchen as a platform to raise awareness, advocate, inspire & educate and in some cases for pure entertainment. This week in the Gangsta Goodies Kitchen, I had the pleasure of cooking chicken lettuce wraps with Alan Kneeland, Operating Owner of The Combine KC.
While we cooked, Alan shared the inspiration behind creating a space designed to bring people together, foster collaboration, and strengthen our community.

We also talked about his groundbreaking achievement as the first African American President of the Kansas City Restaurant Association, the importance of representation in leadership, and why creating welcoming spaces can have a lasting impact on a city.
