Editor’s Note: This is the second of a two-part story about The Excelsior Springs Standard Strategic Council. Part One covered the council’s creation and discussion of local journalism, while Part Two explores the group’s proposed focus areas and future goals.

Printing press fact of the week: Folding happens in the press.
By the time a newspaper comes off the press, it’s already folded. That’s because the machine handles cutting and folding as part of the process, so each copy is ready to be stacked and sent out right away.
