90.9 The Bridge

90.9 The Bridge Kansas City's listener-supported, non-commercial music station & radio partner of the KC Current. Our city is a true original. Genuine. Spirited. Surprising.
(228)

Kansas City is its own living, breathing, strange and beautiful ever-changing self-creating entity. It defies comparison, and so does its music. The Bridge is a lot like the people who create that music. Exquisitely un-self-conscious. We believe in spontaneity and in breaking down barriers between genres, between eras, between the familiar and the undiscovered. We weave new, rare and local music i

nto all of our playlists, right alongside familiar hits and classics you know and love, with the common thread of greatness. We connect music lovers with music makers through unique performances and interviews. No other station does what we do. And nobody else in town plays as much local music as The Bridge. Period. We invite you to join a movement to revolutionize the way Kansas City discovers music that deserves to be heard: Tune in. Turn on. Listen local.

About 90.9 The Bridge

Turn On. Tune In. Listen Local. The Bridge is listener-supported, non-commercial NPR music radio for Kansas City.

In 2013, Kansas City PBS acquired the Triple-A (adult album alternative) radio station broadcasting out of Warrensburg, MO. While KTBG 90.9 moved down the road the 60-some miles from Warrensburg to Kansas City, the station’s passion for local music, community and independent voices has remained the same.

In fact, with the power of KCPT–Kansas City PBS behind it, The Bridge has strengthened its commitment to weaving new, rare and local music into all of our playlists – right alongside familiar hits and classics you know and love. The Bridge connects music lovers with music makers through performances and interviews. As KTBG 90.9 FM, we’re out in the community supporting the musicians, the venues, the listeners.

Our city is a true original. And so is The Bridge.
