It was a great conversation today on Soul Child Radio with the crew from the Paranormal Patrol Podcast! It's always a good time sharing paranormal experiences and insights from our own beliefs of the spirit realm. I was invited to join them on a ghost hunting adventure so I look forward to being a part of that this year! I'll keep yall posted on the experience. 😉✨️

I'm excited about joining on 90.1 on Thursday the 23rd at 7am. It's always a good time. And I'll be at Mike Kelly's Westsider with on Tuesday the 28th for Barclay Hudson & The Variety Show.

As KKFI enters the new year, we will celebrate our 37th year on air as Kansas City's community radio station. 90.1FM is trusted for its quality with a reach of over 80 miles with our 100,000-watt tower; its uniqueness for playing music you will not hear anywhere else; its commitment to local music and arts; its desire to bring you the voices of the community that are often ignored and suppressed; and news and public affairs that reach out to all.

Celebrating the 56th anniversary of the release of the Beatles' iconic double-album, we'll be playing all 30 of its songs in their entirety, in their original running order. The twist? None of the tunes are performed by the Beatles; all are interesting cover versions.

A tower climber with specialized equipment will be climbing the tower around 12:30p to do our transmission line test. We'll may have to switch over to the backup transmitter (3K watt broadcast) during the testing. It should not be longer than 3 hours. KKFI Transmitter Update
Nothing new to report on our transmission status. We continue to broadcast at reduced power and will do so until at least next week.

We have a climber scheduled for next week with specialized testing equipment, and we should know more after that. Stay tuned.

On the occasion of Noam Chomsky’s 96th birthday on December 7, we are honored to broadcast for the first time this classic recording of a talk he gave in Albuquerque in the year 2000. Many of the issues he addressed then remain salient today. Chomsky says that the right of sovereignty is fundamental to the task of taking control of our lives. He describes what citizens are up against as “an array of mega-corporations often linked to one another.”
